It's gonna get worse before it gets better

We've all been seeing the signs coming. All the homes for sale. All of the closing stores. It's getting really bad. Last weekend, I met with some of my college buddies. They're all worried about losing their jobs. The goal for most of their teams is to stay intact through the next fiscal year. These guys were near the top of their class at harvard and NYU law. I'm thankful for my job, and I've been busting my ass for the most part day in and day out.

Anyhow, I've been saving up all of my money for a rainy day in an installment savings account. Turns out my large korean chain bank is closing. I felt terrible about it, but I went to close out my accounts. Better that, than have to deal with FDIC. Anyhow, it felt like the bank run scene in it's a wonderful life.



well, maybe it wasn't that dramatic, but it sure felt like it. Everyone at the bank was there to withdraw their money. The employees all looked pretty disheartened. I didn't have the heart to tell them I was closing my accounts because their bank was gonna tank any day. I looked her in the eye, and lied that I really needed the money. I guess it's not completely a lie. I do need the money, but damn. It's a starting to get ugly.
